Details

This map of Kleinmond, located in the Western Cape, is a modern and detailed map that focuses on this coastal town and its surrounding landmarks. Kleinmond lies along the scenic Clarence Drive route between Betty's Bay and Hermanus, where the Klein Bot River meets the Atlantic Ocean. This print includes the Kleinmond Lagoon, Palmiet River, long sandy beaches and the surrounding Kogelberg Mountains, with the rich fynbos of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve extending into the surrounding landscape. The town is known for its natural beauty, coastal scenery, hiking trails, birdlife and whale watching during the winter months. All of the buildings and the road infrastructure are shown.

Kleinmond developed as a small coastal settlement during the early 20th century, with its name meaning "small mouth" in Afrikaans, referring to the mouth of the Klein Bot River where it enters the sea. The area was originally used for farming and fishing before gradually becoming a popular holiday destination as access along the Overberg coast improved. Today Kleinmond retains its relaxed seaside character while benefiting from its location within the UNESCO-designated Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, where conservation, outdoor recreation and tourism play an important role alongside the town's established residential community.

Map Design and Paper

The map is an original creation by our design studio at Africa Map Art. Data for this map has been compiled from various up-to-date sources including from the OpenStreetMap contributors. The map is available in four styles and on the following two paper options and canvas: a high quality 210gsm heavyweight coated paper with a matte finish, which achieves excellent colour and resolution and is perfect for framing;  a 260gsm photo paper with a smooth satin finish;  and a 350gsm strengthened canvas. All of the options are shipped in a cardboard roll for protection. The canvas is unstretched and unframed.

We welcome personalisation and customisation requests, such as highlighting of specific buildings or features, adjusting the colour scheme, or the addition of text and images.  Please contact us for a quote.
